Lessons

The piano lessons are aimed both for those who want to dedicate themselves professionally to music and for those who want to approach the study of the instrument as a space of knowledge and entertainment.

In addition, from his individual learning, the student will have the possibility to deepen his knowledge with the study of works of Chamber Music if desired. This will awaken in the student the ability to "dialogue" with the other through music, a different and important knowledge to reinforce individual study.

The student will experience in the interpretive field, a development in his expressiveness and imaginary, in an introspective search towards his own musical and affective sound world.

In parallel the student will learn to raise awareness of their movements through permanent postural care, thus achieving an optimal sound quality as well as special muscular care.

The lessons are oriented to the classical repertoire (from the Baroque to the Impressionist period) and are of an individual character, which allows a greater attention to the particular difficulties of each student. The lessons will have a minimum duration of 45 minutes and a maximum duration of 60 minutes. Below, all the aspects to discuss in the classes are detailed.

Musical styles
The pieces or works to be worked will be seen in a stylistic context, which will bring a wide knowledge of different piano touches and different musical parameters. From the Baroque period to the Impressionist, the student will identify different trends within each of the periods, a process that will provide tools for an adequate analysis of the work in all its historical and stylistic context. Starting from and in consideration with this stylistic knowledge, the student will experience in the interpretive field, a development in its expressiveness and imaginary, in an introspective search towards his own musical and affective sound world.

Technique
Thanks to all the musical and expressive knowledge, the student will acquire mastery of his movements through a permanent postural care, thus achieving an optimal sound quality as well as a special muscular care. With works of progressive difficulties, will be insisting on the relaxation of the body while adding various piano touches.

Reading
A necessary tool for the execution of works. Training is required to allow the student to read a score easily. Otherwise, the difficulties that may arise at the time of reading could surpass those of the execution itself, producing insecurities and muscular tensions. In addition, a good reading allows to be completely faithful to the indications of the composer.

Rhythmic
Rhythm is about the different durations of the notes in a work. Given the necessary coordination between the two hands to play the piano, it is necessary to be able to quickly identify the durations of the notes in the score, and then execute them. From rhythmic exercises, the student will learn to coordinate the durations of the notes in different ways.

Analysis and forms
The student will acquire in the study of the works, stylistic knowledge corresponding to different musical periods. With these tools, he will be able to analyze works identifying the different trends and forms that stand out within each period. On the other hand, he will be capable of harmonic analysis based on basic knowledge that will be given with respect to the study of the Harmony.

No previous studies are required. All ages from 5 years old onwards.
