Bio

Born in 1986 in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Cintia Rivera began her piano studies at the age of  7. 

 

She studies with the pianist and music pedagogue Susana Agrest, recognized as a distinguished expert in the chamber music repertoire. 

With her, deepened her studies of Piano, Musical Forms and Musical History and AEsthetics, counting with a wide soloist and chamber music repertoire. 

Likewise, she acquired her methodical knowledge in Musical Pedagogy. 

 

In 2002, she began her studies in Harmony with the pianist and composer Diego Schissi, continuating them with Daniel Montes, who also conducted her in the studies of Audio perceptive, Composition, Counterpoint and Musical History and AEsthetics. 

 

In 2006 she had the privilege of being invited by the pianist Mirta Herrera to participate in Perfecting Courses organized by the prestigious Collegium Musicum di Latina (Italy). 

So in the months of August and September of 2006 she performed in Maenza an Interpretation Course of the pianistic repertoire from Bach to the ´900 with particular reference to the pianistic school and Argentine musical repertoire. 

Also in the same year performed a Chamber Music Course, conducted by the violinist Jorge Rissi and the mentioned Mirta Herrera. 

 

In 2007, she obtained her Superior Degree of Piano at the Conservatory Beethoven of Buenos Aires. 

 

In the same year, began aesthetic studies in Tango, along with the pianist Nicolas Ledesma, and began her studies with the renowned musical pedagogue Violeta Hemsy de Gainza, with whom extends her knowledges about musical pedagogy. 

 

In 2008 participated in Masterclasses next to the pedagogue Andrej Jasinsky, organized by the Summer International Academy Mozarteum (Salzburg, Austria) and next to the pianist Joaquín Achucarro in the Masterclasses organized by the Accademia Musicale Chigiana (Siena, Italy). 

 

She stablished her residence in Barcelona, Spain in 2008. 

 

In June of 2009 Cintia Rivera finishes the Post Graduate and Performance Courses at the Liceu Conservatory of Barcelona, where she studied under the tutelage of the pianist Albert Attenelle. 

In July of 2009, participated in Masterclasses organized by the International Forum of Music (Torrelodones, Spain) where she studied with the pianist and pedagogue Aquiles Delle Vigne. 

 

During years 2009 and 2010 attended to a Specialization Course at the Schola Cantorum of Paris, where she studied with the pianist Aquiles delle Vigne. 

 

She continued her studies in Barcelona with pianists Albert Attenelle and Josep Colom till 2012. 

 

In 2012 she returned to Buenos Aires, Argentina. 

 

She has made presentations in Buenos Aires (Argentina), Maenza (Italy) and Barcelona (Spain) highlighting her presentations in concerts organized by the Loewe Foundation, by the Maria Canals Competition, by the Joan Massià Association and by the Ateneu Barcelones.  

 

She served as a private piano teacher for the past 15 years to the present day. She has also developed his pedagogical activity in music schools in the city of Barcelona, such as Municipal Music School Claudi Arimany (School in agreement with the Liceu Conservatory), the Music School Lluís Cullell, Music School "L'Schola" of Barcelona and at the Classic & Jazz Music School. 

 

She has also been active in chamber music groups and as an accompanying pianist, especially with opera singers.  

 

Currently she continues her pedagogical and professional activity as a pianist.
